Globalists’ goal: Overwhelm nationalists at U.N. – Oct 29, 2018

By J.M. Phelps (One News Now)

Some member states of the United Nations are ready to sign the “Global Compact for Migration” into effect in December – which would declare migration is a “human right.”

The current draft of a migration compact would require signatory states to eliminate their varying categories of migrants, which could include ditching descriptors like refugeeasylum seekereconomic migrantillegal aliens and more.

Reported in a recent article by Free West Media, the document has been described as “open-border propaganda on steroids” and “an end to controlled migration and borders as we know it.”

European – particularly German – lawmakers appear content with the Global Compact, willing to accept the overt globalist agenda of claiming open borders as a human right. President Donald Trump and Viktor Orban, prime minister of Hungary, have both vowed not to sign the compact. Austria has also recently shown opposition to the controversial document.

Ann Corcoran, editor of Refugee Resettlement Watch, tells OneNewsNow this move by the U.N. is a far left-leaning endeavor, which would eradicate the need for definitions for refugees and asylum seekers, making them terms of the past.

“Refugees are people who have left their place of persecution, whatever country that may be, and then the U.N. moves them to a third country,” she points out. “They have been forced to leave their country in order to escape persecution, war, or even natural disaster. They are supposed to be able to prove that they cannot return to their home country.”

On the other hand, she continues, “asylum seekers get to their place where they ask for asylum on their own steam, by walking or flying, for example. They could be leaving for any number of reasons.

“However, the vast majority of these people who are moving around the world now – and I have sympathy for them – are economic migrants; or people looking for work.” Corcoran clarifies. “That does not make one a refugee, if you’re looking for work.”

“When I first began learning about refugees in 2007,” she admits, “it sort of took me aback a bit when I started to understand it. I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, they’re just calling everyone refugees’ – and they’re not all refugees – but it’s a way of controlling the language and confusing people who don’t follow this on a day-to-day basis.”

Corcocan explains that “what’s happened over time is that the open borders Left wants everybody to think that everybody moving anywhere for any reason is a refugee. With the compact, the United Nations is trying to take us to a whole new level.”

She continues: “What they are basically trying to do is take away the distinction. Everybody in the world would have a human right to move [under this pact]. There would no longer be a need to prove you are a refugee or an economic migrant. Under a circumstance like that, there will no longer be any borders.”

Corcoran feels it is important Americans push back against globalist agenda. As often as she can, she asks people on the other side of the issue: “At what number would you stop migration to America? How many is too many for you?”

Their answer? They are “flabbergasted because they know in their heart of hearts that there is point at which there are too many,” she shares.

“They don’t want to be pinned down and asked: At what level would you stop? At what level would you establish a border? How many is too many? They don’t want to answer these kinds of questions because they know there is a point where there are too many and it would destroy the country.”
