Angel Mom: The wall will be built – Dec 2, 2019

By J.M. Phelps (One News Now)

An Angel Mom asserts that an open border is not only a national security risk but also a drain on taxpayer money that needs to plugged.

On May 12, 2014, Mary Ann Mendoza’s son – Sgt. Brandon Mendoza of the Mesa, AZ, police department – was killed by an illegal immigrant drunk driver. “[The] illegal alien criminal [who] slammed head-on into my son” was three times the legal limit for alcohol, she tells OneNewsNow – and furthermore, was a repeat offender.

In the five years following that painful memory, Mendoza (pictured) says, the problem of illegal aliens entering the United States across the southern border has grown exponentially. And while many of the people who have illegally crossed the border in recent years haven’t qualified for asylum, “they were released into the interior of the United States for us to support,” she adds.

The result, according to the Angel Mom, is a burdening of America’s welfare, food stamp, and other aid programs meant for those who actually need the help, apply for the support, and qualify for the assistance.

“It is ridiculous to force the American taxpayer to support the hundreds of thousands of illegals who have poured across the border,” Mendoza argues. “We have the right to stop them.”

As President Trump allocates money from the Pentagon to build the border wall, the politicians who “cry and complain … are the very politicians who are sitting in DC, taking [billions] from God knows what programs to support illegal aliens – [and] they’ve never once asked the American taxpayer if it was okay to do this,” she emphasizes.

“We’ve got all kinds of foreign people coming through Mexico because they’ve seen easy access for years,” the Angel Families founder states. “There is a need to know who these people are; they need to be properly vetted.”

Mendoza – like President Donald Trump, many in Congress, and hundreds of thousands of Americans – is determined to see a wall built along the country’s southern border … and it’s “insanity” to oppose building a wall, she adds.

She argues that appropriating funds to pay for the wall is “Finance 101 [because] a one-time payment on a fence to secure our border and stop the bleeding is much more cost-effective than supporting illegal aliens at the taxpayers’ expense.”

Mendoza also notes the We Build the Wall project continues to enhance border security as private citizens allow the wall to be built on their properties along the border, “helping [to] bridge the gaps.” Such projects, she explains, have to be kept under wraps until the very last minute “[because] the ACLU and these other pro-illegal, pro-open borders groups will slap lawsuits not only on the property owner, but also on We Build the Wall.”

Besides the ACLU, other opposition groups include the Innovation Law Lab, Al Otro Lado, La Raza, and Pueblo Sin Fronteras.

“[These types of groups] do not care about American safety, American life, or what’s happening in the immigrant’s life, or what’s happening to them when they make this trek across Mexico to enter the United States,” Mendoza points out. Instead, she says, the groups lobby for politicians to encourage them to make the grueling trek.

“It’s sick,” she says, “as many of these groups are looked at by some of our congressional members as Latino Rotary Clubs” – and many are funded by people like George Soros, Mendoza adds. She also reveals that “many of them are operating with tax-exempt status in our country, while aiding and abetting illegals, telling them what lies they need to say in order to possibly get asylum.”

The Angel Mom is convinced these are “well-funded, well-planned movements” orchestrated by people who “hate our president and are bent on attacking their fellow Americans.”

Nonetheless, she believes President Trump will keep his campaign promise and a wall will be built. “And it’s a phenomenal project to watch happen,” she offers.
