A respected and experienced legal voice on the Fox News Channel says it’s imperative that the Left’s agenda to remake America be defeated – and the place to start is to hold James Comey accountable for what he did.
While it remains to be seen whether Comey will be prosecuted by the Justice Department, Fox News legal analyst Judge Jeanine Pirro says the former FBI director’s actions as a “liar” and a “leaker” will go down in history as nothing less than a blatant left-leaning attack on the will of the American people.
In an exclusive interview with OneNewsNow, Pirro shares that many have expressed that Comey has a sanctimonious way about him. According to Pirro, Comey tries to appear to be very thoughtful and considerate, describing an “air about him that’s almost religious in nature, [which is why] behind his back he is called ‘Cardinal Comey’ at the FBI.”
Comey expects everyone to believe everything he says, Pirro adds. “When he lies to your face and puts the force of the FBI behind it, you’re expected to believe everything … including the lies,” she describes.
Judge Pirro argues, however, that the Inspector General’s report, which was released last week, made it very clear Comey was both a liar and a leaker.
Having spent the past three decades in the court room as a prosecutor, district attorney, and judge, Pirro says she fully understands what it means to prosecute a crime. And she believes strongly that Comey deserves to be prosecuted for what he did. However, Pirro advises the American people to “look at the reality of the situation.”
“The D.C. jury [where the case would likely be heard] is not in the middle, but is a left-leaning jury – and the last thing you want to do is take the first case involving a head of the FBI to this kind of jury,” the judge advises.
The Fox News host believes Attorney General William Barr is waiting for a more thorough investigation of the FISA court abuses by the DOJ and FBI – which is reportedly the subject of a second IG report due out soon. (See sidebar)
“That’s the big kahuna here,” she tells OneNewsNow. “The taking on of a court with a fake dossier, the swearing to it, and then going in to repeatedly attain warrants to spy on the campaign of an opposing presidential candidate is something that is so bad and so anti-American that I believe this is where Barr is going to put his firepower.”
The use of a fake dossier, money laundering through a law firm, and using a foreign agent to achieve information cannot be tolerated, she stresses.
“In the end, they used [the dossier] over and over again to spy on Donald Trump and his campaign,” she attests, adding that everyone involved knew it was a fraud.
“Spying on an American citizen cannot be tolerated,” she continues. “[The Left is] trying to remake America – and they can’t be allowed to do it by ignoring the laws and substituting their will for the will of the American people.”
These are activities one would find in “Third World countries” and “totalitarian countries,” she adds. “This is not the America that our Founding Fathers created, as we have freedom of speech and all the freedoms of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” Pirro states.
She maintains the effort to destroy America “is an effort on the part of the Left, because they became so unhinged and vengeful after the election of Donald Trump that each of these radicals wants to resist everything he’s done, resist his presidency, and remake America.” [Editor’s note: These liberal exploits are described in Judge Pirro’s latest book: “Radicals, Resistance, and Revenge: The Left’s Plot to Remake America.”]
Optimistically, the New York Times bestselling author believes the Left’s attack on President Trump and conservative America can be stopped. “You prevent it from happening in the future by prosecuting people like James Comey,” she concludes. “If this goes unprosecuted, then it will become a blueprint for the next candidate or the next political party to engage in this kind of illegal activity.”
